Schoolhouse & Statecraft uses a small number of outside providers to deliver articles, subscriptions, optional video playback, and contact inquiries.
Cloudflare Delivery
Cloudflare delivers Schoolhouse & Statecraft content and may process normal connection information needed to provide secure access.
Newsletter Signup
Substack receives the information you submit for a newsletter subscription and handles it under its own privacy terms. Contact inquiries are not added to the newsletter list.
Video Playback
Provider thumbnails may load from YouTube’s image service when video cards appear. The YouTube player does not load until you choose Play. Playback uses a privacy-enhanced embed, and YouTube may then process playback and device information under its own terms.
Contact Inquiries
Cloudflare Turnstile checks contact submissions for signs of automation. When email delivery through Resend is enabled, Resend receives each validated submission and sends it by email. Schoolhouse & Statecraft does not keep a separate database of contact submissions.
Optional Analytics
When enabled in production, Cloudflare Web Analytics processes ordinary page traffic and performance through a browser beacon. The beacon does not use cookies or browser storage, and Schoolhouse & Statecraft does not send query strings to it.
Cloudflare may also process a short list of interaction events if its separate event service is enabled. The list covers subscription clicks, article opens, video actions, and contact form status. It excludes personally identifiable information and free-form values, including names, email addresses, and message text.
